2024 Four-Star Florida Offensive Lineman Talks Ohio State Offer

The Buckeyes have only dished out 56 offers nationally among the class of 2024. This cycle of athletes is considered to be one of the deeper ones we’ve seen in the past three or four years. Specifically, the class of 2024 is considerable very deep in the Quarterback position, Wide Receiver position, and mainly the Offensive line group.

One of the guys who’s already received 36 offers in the 2024 cycle and last week earned his offer from Ohio State is Tampa Catholic product Eddy Pierre-Louis. Pierre-Louis can be seen playing on both sides of the ball as a highly athletic interior O-lineman. So it was no surprise when the Buckeyes came knocking.

“Ohio State and Tony Alford first started watching me in my freshman year along with my teammate Lewis Carter,” said Pierre-Louis. “The message to me from my coaches was to just keep working because my time would come when I’d get a chance to receive an offer from them.”

Obviously, Ohio State has seen a large overhaul on the coaching staff since a year ago when Pierre-Louis was a freshman, but he remained on the core staff’s radar. The only thing that was left before offering Pierre-Louis was for new offensive line coach Justin Frye to come to take a look at him in person.

“Coach Frye had the chance to come to see me and watch some film and I guess he was very impressed because next thing I know I earned an offer from the Buckeyes,” Pierre-Louis explained.

The Buckeyes have been continuously trying to build on the sunshine state pipeline and their efforts are noticeable, especially towards Pierre-Louis.

“This offer from Ohio State felt so great,” said Pierre-Louis. “I worked so hard for this and it feels like all this hard work is paying off right now. I think these coaches can see that and now I’m going to keep grinding and doing my thing to show I deserved it.”

The Silver Bulletin asked Pierre-Louis where the Buckeyes fit into his recruitment right now as well as long term and wanted to know if they have a legitimate shot to earn his services.

“Ohio State is always at the top of the list,” said Pierre-Louis. “If I had to say other schools I would put up there probably just Alabama, Oklahoma, and Clemson.”

Pierre-Louis is still very young in his recruitment but The Silver Bulletin asked if he had any future plans made to visit Columbus.

“Nothing is planned yet but I’m definitely going to get up there,” said Pierre-Louis. “I just have heard it’s such a great school to go to, the campus is super nice and the coaching staff is really great so I need to check it out.”
