BOOM! Four-Star Defensive Lineman Omari Abor Commits to Ohio State!

After a long awaited commitment for the highly coveted four-star defensive end, the Buckeyes staff once again strikes gold in landing Omari Abor out of Duncanville, Texas.

Abor made it official today at the Under Armour All-American game. The Buckeyes were always thought to have been the leader throughout this recruitment as the prestigious Larry Johnson lead the charge the whole way through.

Abor mentioned to The Silver Bulletin the last time we spoke, that the biggest aspect that would effect his decision would be development, and whichever school he thought would give him the best route to becoming a pro.

With Alabama and the home state Longhorns in the fold, it was truly a race to the finish in this recruitment that saw the Buckeyes become victorious.

The addition of Abor now gives the Buckeyes the 38th ranked player nationally by the 247 rankings and the No.6 edge rusher in the country. Abor will join a star studded defensive line class that now was Kenyatta Jackson Jr. who just won Florida’s Gatorade player of the year as well as Caden Curry who won Indiana’s Mr. Football award.

The Buckeyes recruiting class remains ranked 4th in the country sitting behind Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia. The Buckeyes however may not be done on the recruiting trail for this 2022 class with a few players still yet to make their commitment.

Conclusively, Ohio State and Larry Johnson will look to put a bow on this defensive line class, when high four-star DT Hero Kanu makes his announcement January 8th. All signs point to Ohio State once again being the choice.
