2024 Texas Four-Star WR Micah Hudson Earns Perry Eliano’s First Ohio State Offer

Ohio State has seen a lot of changes to its coaching staff as of late but the Buckeyes newest staff members have wasted no time getting their feet wet on the recruiting trail. With the recent additions of Jim Knowles, Tim Walton and Perry Eliano, the Buckeyes newest staffers are making their presence felt right away.

Eliano specifically was down visiting Lake Belton High School today in Temple, Texas when he had the chance to make his first offer to 2024 four-star wide receiver stand out Micah Hudson. Hudson broke down to The Silver Bulletin how he received the news from Coach Eliano that he was being offered by the Buckeyes.

“Coach Eliano actually came to my school where I met him in my coaches office and he we had a great conversation where he asked about how I thought I would fit into Ohio State’s program,” said Hudson. “I told him I thought it would be a great fit and then he offered me.”

Being a 2024 recruit, it still is fairly early in the recruiting process for Hudson as he just finished his sophomore year, but he does say Ohio State is a program he has been keeping an eye on.

“Until today, I have not been talking to any of their coaches at all, but Ohio State has been on my radar for awhile now.” Hudson explained.

Hudson being only a sophomore in High School, he already holds 10 offers with the Ohio State one coming as his 11th. Hudson explained to The Silver Bulletin the type of impact this offer would have on his recruitment.

“With this offer, I would say that [Ohio State] is at the top of my list right now,” said Hudson.

Often times for a recruit in such a storied football state like Texas, it can be hard to see themselves wanting to leave for a different path. However, with Hudson this may not be so much the case.

“I want to go wherever best fits me, if that’s Ohio State, then that’s where it is.” Hudson explained.

Obviously, there is plenty of time left for Hudson in his recruitment and there’s lots he must figure out first but he does say that Ohio State will be a part of his future plans.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the loyalty and who is going to check up on me and to see who wants me to do well,” said Hudson. “I spoke to Coach Eliano and I already have plans to try and get up there soon, so now we will see how it all goes.”
