Ohio State has seen its fair share of players enter the transfer portal this offseason. In addition to Craig Young, Ryan Watts, and Quinn Ewers, who joined midseason departures Dallas Gant and K’Vaughan Pope, Buckeyes defensive lineman Darrion Henry-Young will enter the portal as well.
Henry-Young was a four-star recruit out of Princeton High School (Cincinnati), where he was a teammate of Buckeyes starting offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr. After redshirting in his first season, Henry-Young didn’t notch much action in 2021. In fact, his only career tackle actually came during his redshirt 2020 season in a win over Nebraska.
Henry-Young will now try to revive his career elsewhere. After being taught by Larry Johnson for two seasons, he should have the tools necessary to get on the field. It just won’t be in Columbus.
