Ohio State’s secondary received a big boost today when cornerback Cameron Brown announced that he would return to Columbus for his fifth season.

Brown’s path as a Buckeye has been interesting. He entered college out of St. Louis rated as a four-star and the No. 54 overall wide receiver prospect. He then was moved to defensive back and played all 14 games as a true sophomore before tearing his achilles in the second game of the 2020 season, which held him out for the remainder of the campaign but did allow him to exercise a redshirt option.
Brown has played in nine games for the 2021 Buckeyes, with a tenth slated to come against Utah in the Rose Bowl. He notched his first career interception earlier this season against Penn State.
