A long stretch of waiting has paid off. After offering a scholarship back on May 18, 2020, and several visits to campus since then, four-star defensive lineman Caden Curry has committed to Ohio State.

The Buckeyes effort, spearheaded by Larry Johnson and Kevin Wilson, moved the Buckeyes past Alabama and in-state Indiana to land Curry’s services. Those two were the only schools Curry officially visited other than Ohio State.
In October, Curry spoke with Eleven Warriors and discussed how Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau were important factors in his interest in Ohio State. “When I went on my visit, I sat down with Jack (Sawyer) and J.T. (Tuimoloau) in a room,” Curry said. “They told me if I went there it would definitely be us three, honestly seeing that it would fit perfectly well. It was cool.”
Curry is rated as the No. 88 overall player in the 247sports Composite, the No. 14 defensive lineman, and the No. 3 player from the state of Indiana. He joins Kenyatta Jackson as the only two defensive linemen in Ohio State’s 2022 class, but the Buckeyes are still working hard to land Texas four-star Omari Abor.
